FREE concerts for school students which will introduce them to the sights and sounds of the symphony orchestra. Lively and informative, these concerts will take you on a musical tour through the orchestra with eclectic and exciting music and demos and an interactive presentation which brings students into the thick of the action.
Every year the NZSO perform concerts specifically programmed to engage students from Year 5 through to Year 8. These concerts feature exciting pieces of music and are presented in a format that explore different functions and purposes of music within a variety of historical and social contexts

The concerts are FREE and advance booking is essential. Use the booking form attached to reserve your place and receive a free teaching resource to accompany the concert.
- This concert is targeted at students from Year 5 through to Year 8 but would be well received by students of all ages.
- Each concert lasts approximately 1 hour.
- Tickets are free and bookings are essential.
- There must be a ratio of 1 adult per 8 children. Homeschool and special need groups should call 04 801 3862 to discuss flexibility to the child/adult ratio.
