National Mentoring Programme

The NZSO National Mentoring Programme is an exciting opportunity for young music students to pair up with NZSO musicians to receive mentoring as well as access to NZSO rehearsals and concerts throughout 2015.

Applications are welcome from music students aged between 13 and 18.

Please note applications for our 2015 programme have now closed.

  • Students must be Grade 5 or over on an orchestral instrument.
  • Applications will be assessed by a panel of NZSO section principals.
  • The mentoring sessions will take place in the main centers to which the NZSO tour.
  • Students from outside these centers are welcome to apply but are responsible for their own transport costs.
  • Please be aware that short listed candidates may be contacted to submit an audio recording.
