Your donation to the Orchestra can be put to best use when invested into an endowment fund. The Endowment Fund managed by the NZSO Foundation, sees your money invested and then the interest generated is used in support of the NZSO’s current and future needs. The money you so generously give, ‘keeps giving’.
The Endowment Fund will, over time, provide the NZSO with a steady income stream, securing its future and ensuring we keep a world-class orchestra accessible to all New Zealanders.
The funds generously donated to the Endowment Fund help support:
Tools of the trade
In purchasing new instruments, held by the NZSO Foundation and provided on loan to NZSO musicians. These require upgrading periodically.
Player Excellence
By providing mid-career professional development opportunities through study awards, international music scholarships and exchanges.
Momentous Experiences
In attracting outstanding international conductors and soloists, and helping fund the performance of epic orchestral works.
International Expeditions
By supporting international tour opportunities for the NZSO.
New Zealand Notations
In supporting commissions of new works.
The Next Generation
By assisting young musicians with masterclasses, supporting the NZSO National Youth Orchestra, and supporting activities in the NZSO Education programme.
