Support the NZSO by endowing a chair

The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra’s musicians are amongst the finest in the world. Endowing a NZSO chair is a rewarding way to develop a closer relationship with a particular player in the Orchestra.

Gifting a Chair Endowment enables you to be connected to one of the positions in the Orchestra that has personal resonance or interest; if violin or cello is your passion, or someone dear to you loved a particular instrument then you can select that Chair as a special memento.

Chair Endowment is a hugely satisfying (and much needed) way of contributing to the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra’s music-making.

Positions currently available for Chair Endowment

• Music Director Emeritus
• Associate Concertmaster
• NZSO Section Supporter $10,000 – $24,999
• NZSO Chair Supporter $5,000 – $9,999

We invite Supporters to endow an NZSO Orchestra chair beginning at $5,000 per annum.

NZSO Chair Supporters receive special acknowledgements

For those who make the special decision to be involved with the NZSO Chair Endowment Programme a number of acknowledgements are offered (related to the level of giving).
