Endowment Fund
Your donation to the Orchestra can be put to best use when invested into an endowment fund. This fund, managed by the NZSO Foundation, sees your money invested and then the interest generated is used in support of the NZSO’s current and future needs. The money you generously give ‘keeps giving'.
The Endowment Fund will, over time, provide the NZSO with a steady income stream, securing its future and ensuring we keep a world-class orchestra that is accessible to all New Zealanders.
The funds generously donated to the Endowment Fund help support:
Tools of the trade
Purchase new instruments which are held by the NZSO Foundation on loan to musicians. These require upgrading periodically.
Player Excellence
Provide mid-career professional development opportunities for players through study awards and international music scholarships and exchanges.
Momentous Experiences
Attract outstanding international conductors and soloists, and to fund epic orchestral works.
International expeditions
Support international touring of the NZSO.
New Zealand Notations
Support the commissioning of new works.
The Next Generation
Assist young musicians with masterclasses, support the NZSO National Youth Orchestra, and the activities of the NZSO Education programme.
