Q & A

Can I keep the same seat as last year?

If you were a ‘Works’ season ticket holder in 2019, and are re-subscribing to the 'Works' in 2020, we are able to guarantee your seat if you book before the priority deadline. For all other subscribers, we’ll do our best to keep your seat where possible.

Where can I request my seat when booking online?

After selecting the general seating information for each concert on the booking form, please enter your specific seating request in the text box at the bottom of the booking screen.

What if I am in a wheelchair?

If you require a wheelchair seat this needs to be booked in advance, either through the ticketing agency, or through us.

What if I’ve lost my tickets?

If you’re a subscriber, we can replace your tickets. Please let us know as soon as possible and we will have replacement tickets available for collection on the night of the concert.

What happens if I arrive late?

If you arrive late, you will be seated during an appropriate break by venue ushers.

What if I have subscribed to a concert I am no longer able to attend?

If you are a NZSO subscriber you are able to exchange your tickets for another subscription concert during that season.  Find out about ticket exchange here.

How can I use my gift voucher?

To use your voucher you need to contact the NZSO office at least two working days before the concert you would like to attend. The sooner you contact us the more likely you are to get your preferred seat.

Can I donate my unused tickets?

If you have purchased tickets and can no longer attend the concert, you are able to donate the value of the tickets to the NZSO Foundation. You will be issued a receipt for tax purposes. Your donation will ensure the NZSO can continue to perform at international standards to all New Zealanders.

Will there be a pre-concert talk?

There is a pre-concert talk before most NZSO concerts. These start 45 minutes before the performance. A schedule for the pre-concert talks can be found here.
