Born in Soria, Spain, Ignacio began his musical studies in the city under Rafael Clemente. He continued his training with Orchestre de Paris' Vincens Prats.
In 2001 he was admitted to the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in Holland, where he studied under Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra's Emily Berynon. He was granted a scholarship by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and obtained both a Bachelors and Masters degree in flute and orchestra.
Ignacio has attended master classes with Jaime Martin, Paul Edmund Davies, Peter Lukas Graf, Silvia Careddu, Jean Claude Gerard, and Emmanuel Pahud, among others.
He was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Muziek Festival Orchester, and has been invited to play by orchestras like Radio Filharmonish Orkest, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony, and Malaysian Philharmonic. He has played under the batons of the world's most distinguished conductors, among them Bernard Haitink, Christoph Eschenbach, Dannielle Gatti.
Ignacio was also the flute soloist in the Extremadura and Oviedo Filarmonía Orchestras in Spain.
