Founded in 1946, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra is the country’s national professional orchestra and one of the few touring orchestras in the world, visiting many cities and towns around New Zealand every season.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Development, the Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a small, busy and fun marketing team, whose focus is on increasing the profile and patronage of the NZSO through the delivery of marketing activities using traditional and digital channels.
This is both a strategic and operational role, where you will actively contribute to the development of marketing plans and strategies and take full ownership of their implementation. Key accountabilities include audience development and experience, stakeholder management and team leadership and there is plenty of room for imagination and creativity within the scope of this role.
It is an exciting time to join the NZSO as there is a lot on the agenda, with 33% more concerts being delivered this year than last, and the pace is fast. We are therefore seeking a self-starter with energy, creativity and fresh ideas to contribute to the great work the marketing team is already doing.
