Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture gives us a taste of Italian festivities, while Respighi’s resplendent Fountains of Rome takes us on a tour of four of the fifty monumental fountains in Rome.
It is our pleasure to present Russian pianist Daniel Trifonov to Kiwi audiences. Described by The Times as “without question the most astounding pianist of our age”, his rendition of Rachmaninov’s extraordinary Third Piano Concerto is guaranteed to be unforgettable.
