NZSO Commercial Recording

NZSO is an award-winning orchestra that can be engaged to record your symphonic scale work or audio project.

We have been nominated for several Aotearoa Music Awards, most recently with winner Claire Cowan for her ballet score Hansel and Gretel. NZSO’s recording of works by Pulitzer Prize-winning Chinese composer Zhou Long and the Symphony Humen 1839, written in collaboration with compatriot Chen Yi, was nominated for Best Orchestral Performance at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2016.

We have also worked with producers to bring to life branding, exhibition soundscapes, digital resource soundtracks, and more.

When enquiring, please provide the following information:

• Ideal dates / timeframe for sessions

• Total minutes of score

• Anticipated ensemble size

• What you would like booked with us (i.e. who of your creative or production team is already attached and likely to be in Wellington for sessions, whether sessions will be entirely remote produced, hybrid, or in person)

• Any creative personnel attached that impact the orchestra (i.e. conductor, composer, orchestrator, record and mix engineer, producer, etc)
