Director of Orchestra Delivery
The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) is the national orchestra of New Zealand, recognized as an outstanding orchestra of international stature with a reputation for artistic excellence and a stellar roster of leading conductors and soloists.
The NZSO has toured extensively nationally and internationally since it was founded in 1947. Each year we perform in more than 20 towns and cities across New Zealand, as well as delivering a comprehensive education and community engagement programme, recordings and commercial projects.
About
Accountable for the successful production and delivery of our concerts, the Director of Orchestra Delivery is responsible for the oversight and leadership of Orchestra Management, Production, Health and Safety and Travel and Tours functions of the NZSO, the national touring orchestra of New Zealand.
We are looking for an experienced leader in the orchestral sector who values and facilitates collaboration between musicians and administration teams, inspiring trust and confidence of colleagues, especially musicians, and helping to drive a collaborative and innovative culture.
The role is based in Wellington, New Zealand with regular travel around the country and reports to the Chief Executive.
