Ticketing and Membership Manager
The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Te Tira Pūoro o Aotearoa (NZSO) is recognised as an outstanding orchestra of international stature and with a reputation for artistic excellence that attracts the world’s leading conductors and soloists each year. In 2016 the NZSO was nominated for Best Orchestral Performance at the prestigious Grammy Awards.
We present more than 150 concerts, education, and community events across the country every year from Kerikeri to Invercargill. Our programmes range from classical music concerts to collaborations with indigenous artists, visual artists, and other cultural and educational organisations.
We're looking for a Ticketing and Memberships Manager to join our team. This critical role manages a small box office team, is client facing, builds and drives NZSO’s Membership programmes, and fosters strong relationships within the organisation and across New Zealand’s venue operators and ticketing agencies.
Our CRM system is Tessitura (training provided), in addition to other marketing and ticketing technologies, such as Ticketmaster and Ticketek, Microsoft OS products, and Wordfly to name a few.
We want to hear from candidates who have a strong customer service ethos and who are detail oriented, problem solvers, and enjoy working with people and communicating on the phone and by email. This is an ideal position for someone who has a positive attitude, is a doer, a planner, and a builder. The role requires managing multiple projects at the same time, working with internal and external stakeholders around concerts and events, and following through with regular progress reports to determine success and inform future business decisions. Experience in managing box office technology and the financial management of concert activity is highly desirable.
