The Music of Emotions
Schools’ Concerts
Join the NZSO on a journey through the world of feelings!
Inspired by the award-winning book How Do I Feel? by Rebekah Lipp and Craig Phillips, this concert blends vibrant music, captivating illustrations, and plenty of audience participation. Guided by NZSO Music Education Animateur Chris Lam Sam, students will hear music that bursts with soaring happiness, sinks into deep sadness, buzzes with the jittery excitement of Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, and gallops with the triumphant energy of Rossini’s William Tell Overture. With the NZSO as their guide, students will see, hear, feel, and even sing about how music can bring every emotion to life!
