Be Instrumental

Your support will have a direct impact on inspiring a love for orchestral music across Aotearoa New Zealand by helping to underpin our extensive concert tours, professional development programmes (including the National Youth Orchestra), and inclusive education and community initiatives. 

We build a love of orchestral music from the ground up, and during 2023 our education and community initiatives are predicted to reach 15,319 people

In addition to our professional development programmes and concerts, we will deliver the following programmes: 

  • Online music classroom sessions delivered to 115 primary schools across 69 regions with NZSO musician

  • 16 Masterclasses in 7 regions for emerging professional musicians

  • Open Doors in 7 regions; Tamariki Time, Relaxed Concerts, Instrument Jam, and Side by Side sessions

  • A schools concert for 1,900 children

  • Professional development Side-By-Side sessions in 3 regions for community orchestras

  • A 'Creatives in Schools' month-long residency programme for 750 students in the Mataatua region (Bay of Plenty)

Contemporary Music Circle

$2,500 Contemporary Music Play an active part in helping the NZSO to commission some of New Zealand’s most talented composers to write symphonic works for our main stage and education performances, telling our stories and experiences now for years to come. 

You will gain a deeper insight into the inspiration, techniques and experiences of our NZSO’s commissioned composers through your support and receive unique recognition in our programmes.

NZSO Fortissimo

$25,000 Fortissimo Our highest giving tier supporting visiting international artists with bespoke opportunities to meet artists, and connect with the NZSO in a truly integral and memorable way.
