Yoram Levy performs in Summer Brass.
Yoram Levy is Currently the Head of Brass, and Trumpet studies at the Australian National of Academy of Music (ANAM) where he conducts the brass ensemble and involved in curating programs. One of Australia’s leading trumpeters and brass pedagogues, Mr levy is featured in numerous ABC Classics recordings as the long-standing Principal Trumpet of the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held till 2023.
In 1982, Mr. Levy was invited by Maestro Zubin Mehta to join the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s trumpet section. From 1982 to 1990 he worked regularly with many great conductors, participating in numerous recordings, and touring Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia.
Mr Levy has frequently performed with major orchestras in Australia and New Zealand and is in demand nationally and internationally as a recitalist and clinician.
In 2026, Mr Levy will conduct a brass ensemble to accompany a new choreography for the Australian Ballet, and he will also be directing a joint concert with ANAM and Orchestra Victoria brass sections.
