APPLICATION INFORMATION
We require the following documents and files for your Concerto Soloist application:
A landscape publicity photo of yourself (refer to the artist image guide for requirements)
Video recording of you performing your chosen concerto/solo piece. This must be with piano accompaniment.
Your chosen concerto movement should be no more than approximately 15 minutes in duration. Lengthy piano accompaniment introductions and piano tutti sections should be cut/reduced.
We require the following documents and files for your Orchestral Instrumentalist application:
A landscape publicity photo of yourself (refer to the artist image guide for requirements)
Video recording of two contrasting pieces. Without accompaniment is fine
Letter of recommendation from your instrumental teacher.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be a New Zealand resident or citizen
Applicants must presently be attending a primary or secondary education program in New Zealand, including homeschooling but excluding tertiary education.
Applicants in the Concerto Soloist category will not be selected in consecutive years
IMPORTANT DATES
08 Dec 2025 – Applications open
15 Apr 2026 – Applications close
01 May 2026 – Applicants are notified of the outcome
08 May 2026 – Deadline for applicants to accept offer
