Bach’s iconic Toccata and Fugue in D minor leaps into full orchestral splendour in Leopold Stokowski’s flamboyant arrangement. Three centuries later, Nico Muhly’s Register treats the organ like a vast synthesizer, placing soloist James McVinnie at the centre of a bold, contemporary sound world. The concert culminates in Saint-Saëns’ beloved Symphony No. 3, the Organ Symphony, whose radiant melodies and thunderous final chords fill the hall with grandeur.
From baroque drama to modern invention and symphonic triumph, Reverberate celebrates an instrument capable of whispering, blazing and shaking the very foundations beneath you.
