"In 2027, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra celebrates 80 years as Te Tira Pūoro o Aotearoa — your national orchestra.
It is a milestone that invites us to look back with gratitude, and forward with enormous excitement. For eight decades, the NZSO has carried the power of orchestral music across Aotearoa New Zealand: into concert halls and communities, through schools and recordings, and into the lives of generations of New Zealanders. This season honours that legacy while opening the door to an extraordinary new chapter."
