WA Mozart Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, K. 488
Beethoven Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92

Ravel opens the programme with the glittering, dizzying sweep of La valse. Javier Perianes then joins the NZSO for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, a work balancing warmth, elegance and extraordinary expressive depth.

After the interval, Gemma New leads Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony — music propelled by rhythm, energy and one of the most unforgettable slow movements in the orchestral repertoire.
