Viola

Anna spent her formative years travelling between England and New Zealand by boat, eventually settling in Wellington at age ten.

It was purely by chance that she took up the violin a year later.

As she progressed through Wellington's vibrant music scene, Anna performed with the Wellington Youth Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra, and the Wellington Regional Orchestra.

Anna initially studied the violin at Wellington Polytechnic and later spent a year in the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Schola Musica program. Furthering her education, she switched to the viola and studied at Victoria University.

In 1990, she found her home in the NZSO Viola section.
